Hello Bill, after you mentioned it, I met with three different companies that sell Anlin Del Mar and I couldn't believe the difference in price - for the same window! Also, I understand that the Window Expert has a high overhead with marketing and TV ads, and that factors in. Plus, I also got quotes for the Del Mar from two smaller companies (with several discounts applied): $16,783 and $15,000.

The sales rep for the Simonton Daylight Max, which also has a narrow frame, just called and explained that the Daylight Max actually had a better energy window rating than the Anlin Del Mar, and his final quote is $13,800. Could you please help me - how do you compare these two brands, and what makes the Anlin Del Mar a better window in DFW, Texas??

RG, tough question. For instance, the Anlin Del Mar has an air infiltration rating of .03 (excellent), the Daylight Max would be more like .11 (just okay). Additionally, I will send you my basic recap of what makes a window good or bad.

Anlin Windows Prices: Coronado Windows

The Coronado window does not come in a single hung, but instead in a double hung and double horizontal slider. The frame is a half inch deeper than the Del Mar, along it keeps the .080 extrusion thickness. The Coronado keeps all of the same upgrades as the Del Mar and Catalina. However, it adds a reinforced sash and better weatherstripping.
