Renewal By Andersen Window Prices And Quotes
Renewal By Andersen window costs run $2,000 to $3,000 per window, depending on the size, installation details, individual dealer bid, and any upgrades you select. RbA's fibrex composite windows and patio doors are VERY EXPENSIVE by industry standards. In fact, consumers will usually pay roughly the same amount for Renewal windows and patio doors as they would for high end wood clad windows and doors from Pella Windows.
Let's dig into Renewal company information, as well as breakdown prices for their windows, patio doors, and entry doors. Finally, we will share homeowner reviews and price quotes from actual consumers over the years.

Renewal By Andersen Company Information
Renewal by Andersen is a division (franchise) of the Andersen Corporation, which itself has been in the window and door industry since way back in 1903. Renewal started in 1995 - just as Andersen started ramping up their expansion into the vinyl window market. To this end, Andersen purchased American Craftsman windows and Silverline, both considered two of the worst window brands available today. Eventually, Andersen sold off these brands and exited the vinyl window game for good (but not before turning a rather healthy profit on the sale).
Today, Renewal By Andersen operates over 100 franchise locations across the United States. Additionally, the company is one of the most well known household names in the window and door space. The company engages in tons of marketing to get out the word on their products and enjoys a good reputation in the industry. However, there are many people and organizations within the window and door space who don't share this same reputational opinion of Renewal By Andersen.
Renewal By Andersen Windows
The Renewal Acclaim uses a fibrex composite frame that is created from a blend of vinyl and wood particles. According to RBA, the fibrex material is 2x stronger than vinyl (although there are all sorts of ways to strengthen vinyl, so it's not quite clear what they are comparing). The Renewal By Andersen frame is decently fairly narrow and comes in 9 exterior frame colors and 9 interior frame colors, along with a whole slew of hardware selections (including some very nice metal options).
Homeowners can order these in the following styles: double hung, casement, awning, sliding, picture, round, as well as bay and bow windows. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, the Renewal windows (and patio doors) are some of the nicest looking in the business. They really do a good job on this front. It's the price tag that trips up most consumers (and with good reason).
Suggested Installed Cost: $2500
RBA Patio And Entry Doors
The company offers a whole host of door options. These include the following: Contemporary Patio Slider, Contemporary Frenchwood Patio Door, Hinged Patio Slider, Hinged Frenchwood Patio Door, Contemporary Single Entry Door and a Double Entry Doors.
Suggested Installed Cost: $5000
Renewal By Andersen Ratings
Renewal By Andersen ratings are not as impressive as one might imagine. And why do I say this? Because according to the company, the fibrex material is twice as strong as vinyl. However, a Renewal double hung window with low-e glass (the most popular window they sell) has the following performance data.
| CATEGORY | PERFORMANCE # |
| U-Value | .33 |
| SHGC | .28 |
| AI | .17 |

"Received a quote from Renewal Anderson to replace a 3 panel gliding patio door (12K), a 2 panel gliding patio door (8K), both with their 200 Series Narrowline product with smart glass. Price is 20% discount off of list. In CT and both doors face direct north. Also quoted south facing front entry door system (9K). Having worked in operations and sales I understand your comments what drives price. Your review about over priced quality and craftsmanship raised my concerns so I am looking for alternatives. Would you please forward me recommended List of (Windows) patio doors."

Editor's Advice:
Sally, yes those are some hefty prices for sure. I would absolutely recommend that you gather several more quotes (especially with patio sliders, the price quotes can be quite varied). Here is my list of good and great windows for you to take a look at and let me know if you have any additional questions --

"I own a home in Alaska and it needs work on the windows and doors. Questions in Alaska relate to the quality, double/triple panes. Vinyl or fiberglass or? Do you hire your service as a consultant? If so, what are your rates?
If not, how do I make sure that you are compensated for your efforts. I see that you are remunerated via affiliate links etc. Also, I have been considering Renewal By Andersen and Andersen Windows, but they sure ain't cheap. Thanks for your time!"

Editor's Advice:
Bryan, honestly, Alaska is a big black hole for me. This is where you might consider using the form and seeing what is in our network. That's how I monetize the site. Don't get upset though if you get 3 or 4 rapid fire calls, that's more or less how it work. In some areas we have good companies like Okna Windows etc. and in others we have Renewal and other big guys that I'm not keen on. I can help you search through the bids and I'm not incentivized by any companies so I'm happy to provide you with unbiased advice on your best option(s). Bottom line is to collect 4 to 5 bids anyway in order to get a sense of the market and price point you are facing.
I would say triple pane is a good call in Alaska. Additionally, vinyl or fiberglass are both good options, but the vinyl has to be good quality in a very cold climate like that. High end vinyl windows handle the cold well (Renewal will tell you differnt but the numbers don't lie).
Not all will have dealers in your zip code, but a google search for Amerimax windows in [your city, state] (as an example - and I do know that Amerimax is not available in Alaska) should bring up local companies who carry the brand. Make sure to look up the companies online who come out to give you the bid by googling "[company name] windows reviews" and aggregate their ratings from Google, Yelp, HomeAdvisor, Angi, etc. That should give you a pretty clear picture of the quality you can expect. The windows themselves are 50% of the equation and the company doing the work is the other 50%.
Send me the bids you collect and I'm more than happy to provide you with my take on any cost quotes you receive.
